THE FALCON – REINVIGORATING THE HOTEL’S DIGITAL EXPERIENCE
Built in 1594, the Falcon is a former coaching inn lovingly restored and reintroduced into the rural Northamptonshire countryside as a hotel, restaurant and wellbeing retreat. We were asked to reflect the Inn's revitalised aesthetic online; we started by defining the site strategy and mapping the multitude of user journeys, we then set about creating the new look for the Falcon featuring slick, scrolling animations. We wanted to ensure the site was content-rich to allow users to immerse themselves fully in the hotel experience and its services. Behind the scenes, our powerful CMS allows the site to be a flexible, easily update-able and infinitely scalable showcase for the hotel in these ever changing times.
A staged development for the hotel meant that we had to make booking options available early into the project, so we developed a simplified version of the site initially. This allowed us to gauge interest, capture user data and obtain bookings right from the outset.
PIVOTING THE PROPOSITION TO IMPROVE PERFORMANCE
The Falcon's restaurant and wellbeing program position it perfectly to play a key role in the local community's enabling it to drive significant incremental revenue from non-traditional sales including Wellbeing vouchers, Gift vouchers and Dine at Home offers, all of which are simply promoted and leveraged through our flexible website framework.
A MIDSUMMER NIGHT'S DREAM…
The exponential rise in traffic and user engagement has led to a dramatic increase in inbound enquiries which we expect to translate in to direct room and restaurant bookings as soon as the hotel is able to confirm its re-opening date this spring.
