Miko carries more history than its name suggests. MI echoes MiMi Mei Fair, its sibling on the floors above. KO honours the spirit of a much-loved Thai restaurant that came before, its head chef among those who followed. This was never simply a new opening. It was a revival. A second chapter, written with the same instincts and a sharp new identity. Restaurateur Samyukta Nair and LSL Capital had a clear vision: a contemporary Thai concept on the ground floor of the Curzon Street townhouse already home to MiMi Mei Fair. A new restaurant, a new name — built to belong to the same family while standing entirely on its own.

The brand needed to feel that way too: Entirely new; yet holding something familiar.

Inspired by Thailand’s tradition of ornamentation and craftsmanship, the Miko Mei Fair logomark explores the juxtaposition of Thai cultural expression and Mayfair luxury. Built upon Canela’s elegant flared forms, custom Thai script-inspired letterforms are interwoven throughout the MIKO wordmark, introducing elements of ornamentation that reference Thailand’s rich visual heritage. The mark brings together two typographic traditions in a single expression, creating a distinctive identity rooted in both cultures. Where myth becomes legend.
